Halloween 2011

The kiddos had a great time on Halloween this year. My people went to the Trunk or Treat at Grandma Gail and Papa Dean's church again. They had a great time getting candy, making crafts and running around on the parking lot.  Of course Lily was a princess, Belle this year.  Last year was Cinderella and the year before that Snow White.  She has every Halloween planned out until she's 11 and they all involve a Disney princess of some sort.  Henry was Superman.  My people figured with the way he runs around, he needed a cape flying out behind him.

The car next to theirs at the Trunk or Treat had a train theme.  The little boy, Eli, is close to Henry's age and they're good buds whenever the kids go to church with Grandma and Grandpa.  They spent most of the night parked in front of the train set.  Eli was dressed as a train engineer.

Last night my people learned that Henry is scared of clowns.  He wouldn't go anywhere near their car and needed a lot of help to just walk across the parking lot a safe distance away from them to get to the other cars for candy.  They thought they were being very kid friendly, they were happy clowns after all, but he strongly disagreed.  Strongly.

Halloween 2010 In Pictures

My people did a lot of fun things for Halloween. They started with a trip to the pumpkin patch, then they went to Boo at the Zoo, carved a pumpkin and ended with Trunk or Treat at Grandma Gail and Papa Dean's church. Click on the albums below for all the pictures.

Lily was Cinderella this year and has already decided that she wants to be Belle next year. We'll see if that pans out. Thankfully, with all of the Disney Princesses, we should be set on costume ideas for the next couple of years for her. Ha. Henry may not be so easy. He was a dragon this year.

Princesses on Ice

A couple of weeks ago, the grandmas, Katie and Lily went to see Disney Princesses on Ice. Lily loved it. She had been obsessed with "Sweeping Booty" for a while, then it was Snow White and ever since the show it's been Cinderella. She still likes to wear her Snow White dress around the house, but I'm guessing that'll change once Halloween rolls around and she can wear her Cinderella dress.

Halloween 2009

Lily had a lot of fun this Halloween. She dressed up as Snow White and went to a Trunk or Treat at Grandma and Grandpa Stewart's church. She loved getting (and eating!) candy and then running all the sugar off on the parking lot. You can click on the picture below to see the whole album. I even threw in some pics of her playing in the leaves for good measure. :)

Now we're all just working on adjusting to the time change and figuring out how to ration out the leftover candy.

Boo at the Zoo 2009

My people went to Boo at the Zoo one evening last week. They thought since they were going to the zoo, it would be appropriate for Lily to wear her tiger costume from last year. Luckily, it still fit. It was a gorgeous evening to walk around outside and Lily had a lot of fun looking at all of the Halloween scenes they had set up. Click on the picture below to see the whole album.

Halloween in Pictures

Halloween was a lot of fun this year. My people left the house to go to a "trunk or treat" at Grandma and Grandpa Stewart's church with Grandma and Grandpa Wagner, so I didn't have to keep a look out for people constantly coming to my front door. It was nice and relaxing. Here are some pictures of the Halloween festivities...

Lily saw my girl person cleaning out the pumpkin and decided to "help".

Here's my bald person taking his turn carving.

And here's the final product. No wonder my people had to take turns carving.

Of course, Lily dressed as a tiger this year. I think my people are going to be upset when she starts choosing her own costumes. When you ask her what a tiger says, she throws her hands in the air and yells "Touchdown!" My people have taught her well.

I hear she ran around like a crazy person all night at the Trunk or Treat. She was a hit. My people changed her into her pajamas before heading home so she could crash in the car. Tennis shoes over the footed pajamas is a pretty nice look, don't you think?

Strange People

Friday night my people left the house looking like this.

I was embarrassed for them.
