Playing in the Snow

We got about 5" of snow this week. Lily has had fun "playing" in it. It's more like she just wanders around in it, occasionally bending down to pick some up. I used to love the snow when I was a puppy. Now it just seems cold and wet. I'd rather stay inside where it's warm. Anyway, here are some pictures. Enjoy!

Silly Faces

Lily and Greg were making funny faces at each other last night. Some of it was caught on video.

Here are some pictures too. Yes, Lily's wearing a Halloween shirt in January. Let's just say she was recovering from a stomach bug and leave it at that.

Visiting the Cousins

My two girl people went with Grandma and Grandpa Wagner to visit my cousin Winston and his family in North Carolina at the beginning of the month. They said Lily did really well on the long car ride and had a blast with her cousins. Here are some pictures.

North Carolina Trip January 2009

They were laughing at how quickly the pecking order was established. As soon as they arrived at Eric and Melissa's house, Lily knew exactly where she fit in with the other kids. The two older kids walked on water. They could do whatever they wanted to her and she didn't care. She had more of a love/hate relationship with the younger cousin, Avery. Lily became very possessive of toys whenever Avery was nearby and would burst into tears if she touched anything that "belonged" to Lily. Fortunately, Avery is still too young to really care. Lily did have many sweet moments with her though, giving out hugs and kisses.

All in all, it was a great trip. Everyone (well, everyone except us dogs) will be getting together in Kiawah, South Carolina in August for a beach trip. My people are very excited.

Delicious Strawberries and Cool Whip

Lily was really enjoying her strawberries and Cool Whip (which she calls ice cream) after dinner the other night. My people grabbed the camera and Lily continued to ham it up. You can hear her sing the first part of her ABC's and say "triangle", which always cracks my people up. Tri-nang-nang-nang-nang... It's even funnier when she's actually pointing to a triangle or asking you to draw one. She's also been making a new noise lately which is pretty irritating when she's frustrated, but funny when she's happy. Enjoy!

Peace and Quiet

Finally, the house is quiet again. The noisy little one and my girl person disappeared sometime last week. I haven't experienced this much peace for at least 2 years. I'm not sure where they went, but I'm trying not ask too many questions.

I have been helping my bald person fix up my new room this week. Although, I can't figure out why he painted the walls pink. Oh well. As long as I get a nice big bed all to myself, I'll be happy.

Christmas 2008 Recap

I got a lot of alone time this last week. My cousin Hunter was in town with his family for Christmas.

As a result, my people spent a lot of time at Grandma and Grandpa Stewarts house while I enjoyed the quiet house. The week started off with all of them going to a "photo shoot" so they could get a nice family picture. I hear it went well. We'll see as soon as the proofs are available.

On Christmas Eve, my people went to the Christmas Eve service at Grandpa Dean's church. Then they came home to wait for Santa Claus. Lily had a lot of fun opening her presents Christmas morning. Here's a picture of my bald person helping her open some Sesame Street DVDs.

After opening presents, we all watched part of the Disney Christmas Parade on TV. Lily waved back at everyone and danced along to the music. Then we all got cleaned up and headed to Grandma and Grandpa Wagner's house for their annual Christmas gathering. Santa had also stopped by there. The first present Lily opened was a Mizzou cup with a wind-up Tiger on top. She loved it.

Once they finished there, they stopped back by the house to let me out and give me dinner (thank goodness!) and then headed to Grandma and Grandpa Stewart's house. Santa had stopped by there too! Here's Lily opening "My First Purse". She thought she was hot stuff.

She got to spend a lot of time running around with her cousins from South Carolina. Once they started to get tuckered out, they put on their new PJs and actually stopped to pose for a picture on the stairs! That's Sam up top, Ben in the middle and Lily in front of him.

Hunter and his family headed home the next day. Now we're just relaxing and enjoying my bald person's time off. He doesn't go back to work until January 5. My tall girl person and Lily will be heading to North Carolina at the end of this week to see my cousin Winston and his family. My bald person and I will have the house to ourselves for a week or so. It should be great.

Oh, Santa didn't forget me either. He brought me a nice bone.

My people forgot to take a picture of Lily in her Christmas dress, so here's a little video of her "flying" a toy plane that gives you a view of it.
