Sick Household
We've been a sick household this week. Lily went to the doctor on Monday and then again on Thursday. She was diagnosed with RSV and then an ear infection. She started antibiotics for the ear infection yesterday and seems to be doing better. My people knew she was feeling pretty crummy from the RSV, but I don't think they had any idea her ears were bothering her. She's a trooper. This is her first ear infection ever, so they're pretty grateful for that. My big girl person started getting sick a couple of days ago. They spent a lot of time this week sitting on the couch with a blanket...a Mizzou blanket, of course. I've spent my time hiding in the bedroom away from the sickos. My bald person hasn't gotten it yet. I'm keeping my paws crossed for him. Winston's people, if you're reading this, yes Lily still likes those glasses you let her take home after her visit.
On a more exciting note, Lily is officially in her big girl room sleeping in a big girl bed. I'll post pictures once the room is complete. It's not really decorated yet, it just has bedding and furniture. My people were worried about the transition, especially with her getting sick right when they made the switch, but she's done great. I guess the true test will be what she decides to do once she's feeling 100%. Now that she's sleeping in a big girl bed with a big girl pillow, she wakes up with some awesome bed head. Here's a picture from after her nap today.
I've tried going in her new room during the day and sleeping on her bed, but someone always finds me and shews me off. I don't get it. Maybe I'll have to try it at night sometime.

Singing and Dancing
The radio was on this morning when Lily got a bug in her to dance and sing. She even went and got her MagnaDoodle so she could use the pen as a microphone! By the time my tall girl person got the camera, Lily stopped. Fortunately, she was able to get her to do it one more time for the camera. It wasn't quite as spirited the second time around, but still funny. Enjoy!

Playing in the Snow
We got about 5" of snow this week. Lily has had fun "playing" in it. It's more like she just wanders around in it, occasionally bending down to pick some up. I used to love the snow when I was a puppy. Now it just seems cold and wet. I'd rather stay inside where it's warm. Anyway, here are some pictures. Enjoy!

Silly Faces
Lily and Greg were making funny faces at each other last night. Some of it was caught on video.
Here are some pictures too. Yes, Lily's wearing a Halloween shirt in January. Let's just say she was recovering from a stomach bug and leave it at that.

Visiting the Cousins
My two girl people went with Grandma and Grandpa Wagner to visit my cousin Winston and his family in North Carolina at the beginning of the month. They said Lily did really well on the long car ride and had a blast with her cousins. Here are some pictures.
They were laughing at how quickly the pecking order was established. As soon as they arrived at Eric and Melissa's house, Lily knew exactly where she fit in with the other kids. The two older kids walked on water. They could do whatever they wanted to her and she didn't care. She had more of a love/hate relationship with the younger cousin, Avery. Lily became very possessive of toys whenever Avery was nearby and would burst into tears if she touched anything that "belonged" to Lily. Fortunately, Avery is still too young to really care. Lily did have many sweet moments with her though, giving out hugs and kisses.
All in all, it was a great trip. Everyone (well, everyone except us dogs) will be getting together in Kiawah, South Carolina in August for a beach trip. My people are very excited.

Delicious Strawberries and Cool Whip
Lily was really enjoying her strawberries and Cool Whip (which she calls ice cream) after dinner the other night. My people grabbed the camera and Lily continued to ham it up. You can hear her sing the first part of her ABC's and say "triangle", which always cracks my people up. Tri-nang-nang-nang-nang... It's even funnier when she's actually pointing to a triangle or asking you to draw one. She's also been making a new noise lately which is pretty irritating when she's frustrated, but funny when she's happy. Enjoy!
