15 Month Check-Up

Lily went to the doctor this morning for her 15 month check-up. Everything looks good. She's healthy and happy. She weighed in at 18 lbs. 11 oz., putting her back on the chart in the 3rd percentile. She's 30" long, in the 30th percentile. Her head size is in the 60th percentile. My people were hoping to be able to turn her car seat around, but she hasn't hit the magical 20 pound mark yet. Surely by her 18 month check-up, she'll be facing forward in the car!

She loves running around the house and has taken to viewing the world upside down. Here's a pic.

Last week, she started swimming classes at the YMCA. She loves the water and Katie had a lot of fun with her during the class. Hopefully Greg will be able to make it up there for one of the classes to get some pictures. Katie tried taking a picture of her before they left the house, but had a hard time getting Lily to stand still for one. The socks with the swimsuit are a nice touch, don't you think?

I'm glad they haven't signed me up for swimming lessons, although I did learn a while back that I do in fact know how to swim. My people took me to Columbia, MO for the weekend to visit Jersey. Jersey took me, Katie and Sam to a dog park that's bordered by a lake. It didn't take long for me to figure out the only way to escape was to swim to the other side of the fence. Silly people. They thought a body of water would contain me.

Well, she's getting bigger all the time! Ladan wasn't turned forward facing until he was 20 months (or maybe a little bit older). And even then, I'm pretty sure he fluctuated a bit and probably dropped under 20 here and there until he was about 22 months!

Gabe's 17 months, and he just reached 21 pounds with his clothes on. We were able to turn him around at 15 months, and while he was only at the 5th percentile then, we thought he was a heavyweight. :)

Oh, and as for the socks with the bathing suit, I have to say the look is very trendy. If she were a little bit older and knew about the 80's, she might just go for the leg warmers. Let's just be thankful she's only one and has no idea about mesh crop tops, mall bangs, alternating scrunchy socks, and multiple different-colored scrunchies that would cause her pony tail to stick out 5 inches from her head!
