Three Year Check Up
Lily went to the doctor today. My tall girl person said she did great! She let the doctor do everything he needed to do with no tears at all. I'm sure it helped that no needles were involved this time. She chatted and laughed the entire time. She even wanted to sit on the exam table all by herself instead of in my tall (and round) girl person's lap (not that there's much lap left for her to sit on at the moment). The doctor says she's healthy and he has no concerns. She's still in the 10th percentile for weight...27.5 lbs....just like she has been pretty much since birth. She's been stuck at this weight since February, but that seems to be the norm for her. She's 37-1/2" tall, putting her in the 50th percentile for height. They took her blood pressure for the first time at this visit and she did great with that too. She's seen my tall (and round) girl person get that done a ton at her prenatal visits, so no worries there. That's probably also why she wanted to sit on the exam table by herself too. The doctor also said it looks like her 2-year molars are about to pop through. About time, don't you think? I mean, she is 3 years old now. Ha! All in all, it sounds like it was a pleasant doctor's visit. They'll see him again in January (hopefully a little earlier) when he checks out Baby #2.
