First Haircut
My people finally trimmed Lily's hair. She now has bangs that don't hang in her eyes. That seemed to be the only option since she had no interest in keeping a barrette in her hair. It'll probably still be a while before they cut the curls off in the back though. Here are before and after pictures.

Promised Pictures
Well, the camera has been unloaded. Here are some of the pictures/videos that I promised.
This is a video of Lily going down a slide at Vago Park. She's a pro at going down slides by herself now. You can probably hear me panting behind the camera. I was so excited to get out of the house and stretch my legs at the park!
Bailey's people came over one Saturday afternoon. His tall person helped my bald person tear down the awesome shed and complete the fence in that corner of my yard. Thanks, tall person!

Lily got to play in the hose for the first time on one of the first hot days here. My people tried setting up the sprinkler for her to run through, but she was too scared to go near it. I don't blame her! Instead, they ended up just spraying the hose at her and she loved it!

Lily took a "tumbling" class at the YMCA called Inchworms. My bald person was able to go on her last day and take pictures. Here she is swinging around the bar with Miss Robin and crawling through a tunnel.

Bath Time
I tried to block this experience out for the past week, but it is still haunting my dreams. Perhaps I can move past this episode if I talk about it. My people tied me to a tree and forced me to take a bath last weekend. I was quite shocked and greatly offended. For some reason, they documented this abusive treatment on video.
Here is one of me clearly indicating that I don't want a bath. You would think he would get the hint after seeing me try to climb a tree. I need to work on training him some more.
Eventually, I accepted my fate and let him finish. As you can see in this video, I did manage to show my displeasure by shaking water onto him.

18 Month Check-Up
Lily went to the doctor today for her 18 month check-up. Where has the time gone?! She now weighs 20 lbs. 4 oz. and is 31" tall. That puts her in the 3rd percentile for weight...still... and 30th percentile for height. She got two shots and goes back at 2 years old. The doctor gave her two thumbs up and said she's doing well. He's not concerned about her weight at all, since that's the growth curve she's been on since birth.
Last weekend my people turned Lily's carseat around to face forward. I haven't been in the car with her since she's turned around, but I hear she loves it. It's a shame I won't be able to entertain her anymore though. She used to love watching me go nuts in the car.
My people have lots of pictures on the camera they need to unload. Pictures of her at the park on the playground, playing in the hose in the back yard and at her last Inchworms class at the Y. Oh! There are also pictures of our awesome shed being torn down. I'll do my best to post some once they're off the camera. Here's a picture from a week or two ago. My bald person was trying to teach Lily how to hit a golf ball. She had more fun stealing the golf balls and running away from him though. That's my girl!

Squealing and Climbing
Lily has discovered a fun new sound to make when she's happy. You can imagine this drives me just a little bit nuts.
The other day she was playing in her room. She got quiet, which is never a good sign, so Katie went in to check on her. She had moved her trash can to her crib, turned it upside down and climbed on top of it. Fortunately there was no trash in the can at the time. She was quite proud of herself.

Fun Photos
Bailey Dog's people are coming over tonight. I'm really excited. I may have mentioned this before, but I love Bailey's tall person. I pee on him every time I see him. That's how I claim my favorite people. There are only a handful I do that too, so they know they're special.
Here are some recent photos of the little one. Enjoy.
